I'm Ayk. I'm a designer and builder based in Berlin. I've built over 30 websites in Webflow for clients — studios, agencies, startups. Now I build custom websites and applications with Claude Code. I still design in Figma. I still care about craft. The tools changed. The standards didn't.

Why I stopped using Webflow

Webflow was good to me. I built a career on it — client work, agency projects, a repeatable process that worked. But at some point the tool became the ceiling. Every project had the same constraints. When AI got good enough to build from Figma designs directly, I tried it. Not as a gimmick — as a serious workflow. It worked. Not perfectly, not instantly, but it worked well enough that I couldn't go back. The freedom to build exactly what I design, with no platform limits and no recurring platform fees, changed how I think about the work.

What I'm working on

Right now I'm deep in agentic coding — using AI not just to generate code, but as a collaborator across the entire process: research, strategy, design systems, development, and deployment. I write about what I learn here. The tools, the workflows, the mental models. Sometimes I build apps. Sometimes I build systems. The thread is always the same: one person, making things with intention.
